Sara's client list includes: New York Times bestselling authors Roni Loren and Jason Hough and international bestselling authors Stefan Bachmann and Tiffany Reisz, along with Allison Rushby, Ashlyn Macnamara, Betsy Dornbusch, Christina Lee, Dave Lowry, Eleri Stone, Jaleigh Johnson, Jane Kindred, Jennifer Shaw Wolf, Juliana Stone, Karina Sumner-Smith, Michael J. Martinez, Michael R. Underwood, Miranda Kenneally, Natalie Bahm, Sarah Skilton, Stefanie Gaither, Steve Vera, and Wen Baragrey

NOTES & OBSERVATIONS:
Sara has stated several times that she is "Always LGBTQ and Diversity friendly", so your story can grow into areas outside of the m/f roles.  She also said, "I am actively acquiring and looking for books that consume me; stories I can’t stop reading and heroines/heroes to cheer for."  On Sara's twitter page she mentioned that she ski's.  An erotic, romantic LGBTQ ski resort fiasco (with a strong heroine coming to the rescue) might be right up her alley (that's a hint for the start of your next novel, btw :)

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR STORY / ELEMENTS YOUR STORY SHOULD HAVE:
In a 'What am I looking for?' segment of her agency's website, Sara wrote, "I love romance and erotica – especially as a feminist – because the stories are so pro-woman. I’m very diverse in my tastes here though – I love historicals, contemporaries, paranormals, steampunk, science fiction, etc. I love couples of every sexual orientation and in every combination. Tiffany Reisz, Roni Loren, Jane Kindred, Ashlyn Macnamara – these clients write widely across genres and even more widely across sexualities and they all rock my world. Be fun, be funny and be sexy and then send me a query."

THIS AGENT DOES NOT REPRESENT:
Picture books, early readers, nonfiction, commercial fiction, horror, mystery or women's fiction

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Read at least one (preferably two) of the books Sara (or her agency) has published.  This will give you a very good 'insiders glimpse' as to exactly the kind of writing style, voice, protagonist, etc. that she and/or her agency are looking for.

LUCIENNE DIVER  |  Erotica
The Knight Agency

Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/lucienne.diver
Blog(s):  N/A

RECENT BOOKS PUBLISHED:
***In addition to Erotica, Lucienne also accepts Fantasy, Science Fiction, Suspense, Mystery, Romance and YA Lit

Agency Publications:
THE DARKLING'S STRUGGLE - Lauren Hawkeye
FURIOUS INK - Saranna DeWylde
SIMPLY VORACIOUS - Kate Pearce
HIDDEN PARADISE - Janet Mullany

Lucienne's clients include: DD Barant, TJ Bennett, Carol Berg, Laurie Brown, Rachel Caine, J. Kathleen Cheney, Rosemary Clement-Moore, Molly Cochran, David B. Coe, Beth Cornelison, Donn Cortez (a.k.a Don DeBrandt), Keith R.A. DeCandido, Vicky Dreiling, Doranna Durgin, P.N. Elrod, Lynn Flewelling, Diana Pharaoh Francis, Roberta Gellis, Christie Golden, Steven Harper (a.k.a. Steven Piziks), Jasmine Haynes, Christina Henry, Faith Hunter, N.K. Jemisin, Tammy Kaehler, Susan Krinard, David Mack, Janet Mullany, Debra Mullins, Ramez Naam (for his fiction), Chloe Neill, Patti O’Shea, Amy Christine Parker, Steven Piziks (a.k.a. Steven Harper), Kalayna Price, Isabel Sharpe, Wm. Mark Simmons, Kira Sinclair, Susan Sizemore, Rob Thurman, Karen Whiddon.

NOTES & OBSERVATIONS:
Lucienne is a lifelong book addict.  She graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Potsdam with dual majors in English/writing and anthropology, so a protag who attended that school or an anthropoligst as the main character might pique her interest.  Just remember the 'graduated summa cum laude' part of her dossier...Lucienne is a smart cookie, is well respected in her field, and has a sharp eye for good writing.  Your erotica novel should be a stand out for her to consider.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR STORY / ELEMENTS YOUR STORY SHOULD HAVE:
In an interview, Lucienne stated, "I want something, anything, that will impress me and keep me reading late into the night. I love a strong voice and a really unique, well-paced plot."  In marking the difference between erotic romance and straight erotica, she also said, "The difference to me is that erotic romance is primarily between a couple (or sometimes a threesome) that will have a happily ever after. At its heart, it’s the story of people finding their soulmates and exploring the connection via sex. Erotica doesn’t have to end in a committed coupling. The focus (to me, and I’m sure others’ mileage will vary) is more on the voyage of self-discovery … a character or characters learning what it is that makes him or her happy and comfortable and finding the courage to accept whatever might be revealed. It’s almost that erotica is to romantica as chick-lit is to romance."
AGENT ALERT: In an interview, Lucienne said, " I work with a lot of paranormal fiction, which I adore (fantasy, urban fantasy, paranormal romance, steampunk), but I’m also a big fan of suspense and forensics."  *Cross over suggestions (erotica and...)...
