NOTES & OBSERVATIONS:
Kimberley appreciates writers that show patience, understanding, politeness, and trust. She attended the Marlborough School for Girls in Los Angeles, so maybe if your protag hailed from that school it might pique her interest.  She has also been a guest speaker at numerous writer's conferences over the years - once again, including a protag with these kind of responsibilities might make her want to read more.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR STORY / ELEMENTS YOUR STORY SHOULD HAVE:
This agent has been a little tough to nail down.  She "wants to fall in love with a writer’s words and is looking for exceptional writing in any field, particularly writing that touches the heart, and makes us feel something."  Her genre listing, too, is a little off the charts as she’s been so successful with many different genres.  When an agent keeps what exactly their looking for so close to the vest, my only recommendation is (as is usually the case anyway) to read at least one of that agent's published books.  One (preferably two) books should give some good insight as to what writing style, form, sometimes even voice the agent prefers.  Luckily, the books I've listed are directly represented by Kimberley.
AGENT ALERT: Kimberley especially loves the thrill of securing representation for debut authors.  New authors - dig in!

THIS AGENT DOES NOT REPRESENT:
Romance, childrens books and screenplays

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Definitely read at least one (preferably two) of the books Kimberley (or her agency) has published.  This will give you a very good 'insiders glimpse' as to exactly the kind of writing style, voice, protagonist, etc. that she and/or her agency are looking for.

DANIELLE BURBY | Mystery/Suspense
Hannigan Salky Getzler Agency
Submissions page:  http://hsgagency.com/submission-guidelines
Twitter:  @danielleburby
Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/HSGagency
Blog(s):  N/A

RECENT BOOKS PUBLISHED:
BE THE FIRST
***In addition to Mystery, Danielle will also accept Psychological Thrillers (particularly if they deal with social issues).  She will also consider Period novels, but they have to be particularly strong for her to take them on.
THE RED QUEEN DIES - Frankie Bailey
EDWIN HOFF - A.B. Bourne
MURDER IN MUMBAI - K.D. Calamur
THE THRILL OF THE HAUNT - Jeff Cohen
DEATH AND THE MAIDEN - Gerald Elias

NOTES & OBSERVATIONS:
Danielle looks for books that will keep  her up all night reading.  She grew up on Long Island, so maybe a book with that setting would make her read more.  She loves the NY theater.  Danielle has stated, on multiple media, that she is actively looking for a book set in Scotland with a female protag and her wish list also includes:  "A modern Forever. Basically, a contemporary YA feminist teen sex book. If that came into my inbox I would do a happy dance."

=============================================================

READ WHAT DANELLE RECENTLY TWEETED.  IT SO SUPPORTS TARGETED WRITING!

I LOOK FOR 3 THINGS IN A PITCH.  WHAT IS THE BOOK?  AUTHOR'S QUALIFICATIONS.  DOES THIS SEEM LIKE SOMEONE I'D LIKE TO WORK WITH?

AND

THE BEST PITCHES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ONES WHERE THE AUTHOR HAS MADE AN IMPRESSION AS SOMEONE I'D LIKE TO WORK WITH

=============================================================

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR STORY / ELEMENTS YOUR STORY SHOULD HAVE:
Danielle likes suspenseful mysteries that are contained to a small community and she is
particularly looking for female protagonists and narratives with a strong voice.  She's looking for stories with a real sense of place.  Danielle likes to see books with diversity in race, gender, ethnicity, and sexuality, etc. She likes to be surprised by twists and turns and is a sucker for romantic plotlines that are an element of the narrative, but don’t dominate it.
AGENT ALERT Danielle lived in Scotland and tweeted that she's on the lookout for a novel set in that location!   She further stated that she loved Outlander and would "So looove a woman's fiction set in Scotland."  She also mentioned she's looking for cozies right now - especially if they have a cat in them.

THIS AGENT DOES NOT REPRESENT:
Religious fiction, romance, picture books, or westerns

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Read at least one (preferably two) of the books Danielle (or her agency) has published.  This will give you a very good 'insiders glimpse' as to exactly the kind of writing style, voice, protagonist, etc. that she and/or her agency are looking for.

Sometimes agents are extremely transparent in thier likes, dislikes and even exactly what he or she is looking for in a story.  If you see AGENT ALERT in an agents profile, read it!  There, you will find very usefull information about new agents, agent wishlist criteria, and other specific and relevant data that will help you get your manuscript selected

PAMELA AHEARN | Mystery/Suspense
The Ahearn Agency
Submissions page: http://ahearnagency.com/guidelines.shtml
Twitter:  N/A
Facebook: N/A
Blog(s):  N/A

RECENT BOOKS PUBLISHED:
***In addition to Mystery, Pam will also accept Thrillers of all kind (Legal, Psychological, Spy, etc.).  Her agency specializes in Suspense and Women's Fiction and will accept General Adult Fiction.
BLACK-EYED SUSANS - Julie Heaberlin
THE COMFORT OF BLACK - Carter Wilson
THE ART OF SINNING - Sabrina Jeffries
CLIENTS INCLUDE:  Jeremy Burns, Julie Compton, Julia Heaberlin, S.W. Hubbard, Sabrina Jeffries, Deb Marlowe, Meagan McKinney, Laura Joh Rowland, Carlene Thompson, Allan Topol, and Carter Wilson

NOTES & OBSERVATIONS:
Pam grew up in Cincinnati, OH and currently lives in New Orleans, so perhaps a story set in either (or both) location might snag her interest. Pam has said,  “Flexibility - combined with persistence - is something I respect. A writer who can change, try something different, will be able to survive no matter how the market fluctuates."

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR STORY / ELEMENTS YOUR STORY SHOULD HAVE:
Pam doesn't have a Twitter or FB account, but I did find a solid interview with her.  In the interview she said, “A distinctive, individual voice will catch my attention as well as something I haven’t seen before, something that goes beyond the ordinary."  The kind of writer Pam is looking for is, “Someone who’s proud of their work, but not fanatical. Someone who wants an agent they can bounce ideas off of, not an agent who’s a servant. Someone who’s looking for a long-term relationship with an agent.”

THIS AGENT DOES NOT REPRESENT:
Science fiction, straight fantasy or non-fiction.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Read at least one (preferably two) of the books Pam (or her agency) has published.  This will give you a very good 'insiders glimpse' as to exactly the kind of writing style, voice, protagonist, etc. that she and/or her agency are looking for.

Twitter:  @JillCorcoran   [agency twit acct]
Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/eve.porinchak
Blog(s):  N/A

RECENT BOOKS PUBLISHED:
BE THE FIRST
***PLEASE NOTE:  Eve is primarily looking for edgy Psychological Thrillers.  She is open to Mystery novels, but I wanted to point out her primary preference.  In addition to Psych Thrillers & Mystery, Eve will also accept Gang-Lit and Realistic Contemporary
Some of Eve’s favorite books are:
TRUE NOTEBOOKS - Mark Salzman
MONSTER - Walter Dean Myers
GONE GIRL - Gillian Flynn
YOU SHALL KNOW OUR VELOCITY - Dave Eggers
THE PSYCHOPATH TEST - Jon Ronson
THE MS-13 - Samuel Logan

NOTES & OBSERVATIONS:
Eve has a degree in Early Childhood Education.  She has 'always worked with children' and once taught Pre-K through 5th grade.  Not that you 'd ever market a MG story to her, but including children in your story will most certainly grab her attention.  *She attended medical school, anticipating a career in Pediatrics.  Author Hint:  Eve is a drawing artist, too!  Including a drawing artist as the protag in your story might pique her interest.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR STORY / ELEMENTS YOUR STORY SHOULD HAVE:
Eve has eclectic literary tastes and is open to everything from picture books to adult novels. She is specifically looking for edgy, psychological thrillers and is a HUGE fan of true crime - if your story reads like a Tuesday night episode of “Dateline,” send Eve your pages.  PS - Eve loves the Hunger Games, NPR's SERIAL and Sci-Fi.
AGENT ALERTEve is a new agent and he is aggressively building his clientele!  Now is the perfect opportunity to submit your work to a fresh agent!

THIS AGENT DOES NOT REPRESENT:
High fantasy

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Read at least one (preferably two) of the books Eve has listed as her fav's.  This will give you a very good 'insiders glimpse' as to exactly the kind of writing style, voice, protagonist, etc. that she and (possibly) her agency are looking for.
